No. Anyone with the download link can access the file — no account, no app install needed. Just share the link.
Cloud transfers support files up to 2GB for free. For larger files — or files of any size — use Transferly's P2P (Quick Transfer) mode which has no file size limit.
Yes. Select or drag multiple files and Transferly will bundle them into a single shareable link. The recipient downloads all files in one go.
Use Transferly's Quick Transfer (P2P) feature. It sends files directly between devices using WebRTC — no server storage, no size limit. Both sender and receiver need to be online simultaneously.
No — never. Transferly explicitly guarantees it will never read, analyze, or train AI on your uploaded files. Your files are stored only to serve the download link and are deleted after expiry.
All file transfers use HTTPS/TLS encryption in transit. For maximum privacy, use P2P mode — files are transferred directly between devices and never stored on any server.
Yes. Before sending, add a password to your transfer. Only recipients who know the password can download the files. This is free — no paid plan required.
Yes. Transferly stores only minimal data necessary to provide the service. Files are automatically deleted after expiry, and we never sell user data to third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Only someone with the download link can access your files. For additional security, add a password. Files are not publicly listed or browsable.
Files uploaded without an account are available for 7 days. Files uploaded with a free account are available for 15 days. After expiry, files are permanently deleted.
Create a free Transferly account to get 15-day file storage instead of 7 days. Further extensions are not currently supported.
Logged-in users can delete files from their dashboard at any time. Guest uploads cannot be manually deleted before the 7-day expiry.
Quick Transfer uses WebRTC peer-to-peer technology to send files directly between two browsers — no server storage involved. The sender shares a code, the receiver enters it, and the file transfers directly. Both parties must be online at the same time.
No. P2P transfers have no file size limit because files never pass through our servers. Transfer speed depends on both devices' internet connections.
Yes. Transferly uses STUN/TURN servers to establish P2P connections even across different networks and NATs. In rare cases where direct P2P fails, it falls back to our relay server automatically.
Yes, Transferly is completely free. There is no paid plan. Send files up to 2GB, use P2P for unlimited size, and get password protection — all free.
